Arizona NORML Hosts Expungement Clinic at SOL Sun City

ARIZONA NORML ANNOUNCES EXPUNGEMENT RESOURCE CLINIC SERIES AT SOL FLOWER DISPENSARY IN SUN CITY

Open to the public, the free clinics led by Arizona attorneys will take place on August 21st, September 18th, and October 16th.

SUN CITY, Ariz. (August 5, 2021)– Arizona NORML, a state chapter of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML), announced today it will continue to offer Expungement Resource Clinics at Sol Flower dispensary in Sun City. Upcoming clinics will take place from 1- 5 p.m., on Saturday August 21st, September 18th, and October 16th, at the Sol Flower wellness classroom,  13650 N. 99th Avenue, on the corner of 99th Avenue and W. Thunderbird Road, in Sun City.

Open to the public, individuals with previous marijuana convictions have the opportunity to consult one-on-one with Arizona attorneys and learn how to properly petition for expungement. In July, Arizona NORML hosted its first clinic at Sol Flower which drew significant attendance.

“We are excited to build out this educational series in partnership with Copperstate Farms and Sol Flower. The benefits for individuals who apply for expungement are considerable, from qualifying for better housing and student loans, to passing criminal background checks,” stated Arizona NORML’s Communication Director, Jon Udell.

Expungement clinic attendees are encouraged to bring as much documentation as possible relative to their previous case or arrest in Arizona, such as an arrest record, a criminal complaint, and/or a sentencing order. Individuals who do not have documentation are still encouraged to attend the clinic.

“In an era where cannabis is now legal, it’s incredibly rewarding to help Arizonans access the support they need to clear their records,” said Ryan Hurley, general counsel at Copperstate Farms.

In addition to the expungement clinics, Sol Flower’s Sun City wellness classroom hosts weekly educational courses with trusted experts and community-focused activations. Sol Flower is an Arizona dispensary brand established by Copperstate Farms with four locations, including Scottsdale, Sun City, and two in Tempe. For more information, visit LivewithSol.com.
